Cross immense grasslands and kopje country on private game drives in search of lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes and resident plains game. Wildebeest and zebra move through different parts of the ecosystem as rainfall and grazing change.

Choose from mobile migration camps, classic tented camps and permanent lodges around Seronera, the western corridor or the northern Serengeti. We place you in the most practical area for your dates.
BEST TIME TO VISIT
Excellent year-round. January–March often suits the southern plains and calving season; June–October brings drier conditions, with migration locations changing naturally through the season.

WHAT YOU CAN SEE & DO
Descend from the forested rim into a vast volcanic caldera of grassland, marsh and woodland. Game drives may reveal lion, buffalo, elephant, hyena, flamingos and, with patience and luck, black rhino.
WHERE YOU CAN STAY
Crater-rim lodges offer dramatic views and early access, while characterful lodges and farm stays around Karatu provide more space and value within driving distance of the gate.
BEST TIME TO VISIT
A rewarding year-round stop. June–October is generally drier; November–March is greener with good birdlife; April and May can be quieter, with occasional heavy rain.

Lake Manyara National Park

Explore groundwater forest, acacia woodland, hot springs and the lake-edge ecosystem beneath the Rift Valley escarpment. Look for elephants, baboons, giraffes, hippos and a changing variety of waterbirds.
WHERE YOU CAN STAY
Stay in a small park lodge, on the escarpment, or in nearby Mto wa Mbu and Karatu. Options range from comfortable guesthouses to secluded forest and valley-view properties.
BEST TIME TO VISIT
June–October is typically dry and easy for game viewing. November–March is green and rewarding for birding; April–May can be lush, quieter and wetter.

Tarangire National Park
WHAT YOU CAN SEE & DO
Travel among sculptural baobabs and follow the Tarangire River, a dry-season lifeline for elephant herds and plains game. The varied habitats also make the park especially rewarding for birdwatchers.

Select an intimate tented camp inside the park for atmosphere and early starts, or a lodge near the boundary for convenient connections to Manyara, Karatu and Arusha.
BEST TIME TO VISIT
June–October is renowned for dry-season wildlife around permanent water. November–March brings green landscapes, migrant birds and fewer vehicles; April–May is the main rainy period.
